Well, I went to the cinema with Nicola today, we met up with Paula (I can't believe it's been 18 months since I saw her! She said 'i can't believe it! I could have had a BABY since I last saw you!' and I should have pointed out that she could have had two. But whatever) and Nicola's friend Rosemary (who rocks! she reminds me so much of Vicky (Kennie) that I had to laugh and tell her that. At which Nicola looked REALLY unimpressed LOL). We went to see In Her Shoes, with Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette, and it was so good :) Had me looking at shoes in the catalogues LOL.
Although tonight I had real trouble with my novel for NaNoWriMo. I'm 1070 words behind because of York (I'm catching up about 300 words a day, so I should JUST make it by the deadline!!!) and today I wrote in a plot about a woman slashing her wrists and pretending she doesn't know anything about how it happened (ok! I'm getting desperate!). So far plots include: rebellious teenagers, false birth certificates, people having children and passing them off as someone else's, prostitution...
It's a very weird story. But I think it's working. Some parts of it are total wofle, but some are (dare I say it about my own work) good. I like the part where one woman (not the slash-wrists woman) is thinking about wrapping Christmas presents on the kitchen table and realising it would be difficult to wrap a bike on the table, even if there is no one to come in and catch her at it! LOL.
I got to go now, take car and let's hope there's lots more snow!!!!!
Peace out.
